Continuing with this week's nail centre post theme today! I recently tried a shade from the new Essie Collection. I picked up Essie Gel Couture in the shade Dress Is More. I went for the neutral shade (of course I did!) It looks more warm in the bottle but pulls more cool toned on me, a creamy, pale, baby ballerina pink. More a pink toned white.
No trips to the salon, no lamp needed. Further time saving, it encompasses both base and colour, so no separate base coat needed either! The Gel Couture range have a new curved bottle and curved swirl stem brush for perfect even coverage. The wand is twisted and the bristles are wider and tapered to cover the nail bed with ease. You could cover the nail bed in one stroke. These are a dream to apply. They apply evenly and while most shades in the range I've found to be opaque in one coat, this shade is quite sheer.
With its impeccable glass like shine. I honestly thought I needed to buy a specialist remover! 10 days of luxurious wear, no chips, not even the slightest tip wear! I tweeted Essie UK in a panic! But no, regular nail polish with do the trick and removes this effortlessly. I have to confess, I did cheat and in place of the Essie Gel Couture Top Coat, I went with the old faithful Seche Vite which still afforded it a flawless finish.
Have you seen my Essie Favourites post? I'm a huge fan of Essie and with this new launch, I can only see the obsession continuing! I definitely, makes the cut... I picked up my Essie Gel Couture in Dress is More from Boots for €14.95. Have you tried any from this collection? What other colours do I ahem need?
